The Peep Factor

Consistency is the most important word in archery. We are driven competitively to shoot with utmost consistency and accuracy. And even more important is when hunting offers that once in a life time shot at a world class trophy. Not one piece of archery equipment contributes more to that consistency and accuracy than the peep sight.

Peep Sights today exist being two kinds; Self Aligner and Static. Self-Aligners consist of rubber tubing attachment physically on the peep and other end attaching to the buss cable or upper bow limb. Static peeps use no rubber tubing and are dependent on consistent bow string rotation. This type peep sight takes time in set-up and has available accessories for aiding consistent peep rotation alignment. One such item is the T.R.U. Ball Speed Loop. The advantage with the static type peep is no rubber tubing breakage during a shot, snagging on brush and less drag on arrow speed.

Peep Sight aperture (hole) sizes come large for hunting and small for target shooting. Visibility is increased with peep hole diameter but expected shooting consistency and accuracy fails to remain constant.
